Kanayo O. Kanayo expresses concern over a decline in his followers.

Nollywood veteran Kanayo O. Kanayo has recently voiced his frustrations regarding the social media platform Instagram, which Meta owns. In a heartfelt video message shared on the platform, the actor expressed his dismay over a significant decline in his follower count, which he claims has been occurring for several months.

Kanayo pointed out that instead of experiencing growth, his follower count has decreased dramatically. He noted that his followers had dropped from approximately 2.2 to 2.3 million down to about 1.9 million, which he finds alarming. The actor argued that it is implausible for him not to have gained any new followers in recent months. He emphasized that this issue is not unique to him, suggesting that many other content creators are facing similar challenges on the platform.

Kanayo voiced his concern about the lack of control users have over their presence on Instagram. He criticized the platform for what he perceives as unfair treatment of content creators who contribute to its success. He urged the owners of Instagram to recognize the value of content creators and to treat them with the respect they deserve. Kanayo argued that fostering a better relationship with creators would be mutually beneficial, enhancing the platform’s appeal while supporting those who generate content.

Kanayo O. Kanayo’s plea highlights a broader issue faced by many influencers and content creators on social media platforms. His call for better treatment from Instagram underscores the need for platforms to acknowledge and support the individuals who contribute to their success, ensuring a fair and equitable environment for all users.
