Actor Ibrahim Yekini, known as ‘Itele,’ responds to criticism regarding his support for Wizkid.

Ibrahim Yekini, the Nigerian actor and filmmaker known as Itele, has responded to recent criticism from some fans regarding his public support for music star Wizkid. In an Instagram post, Itele urged his followers to avoid attacking each other over his musical preferences.

He clarified that he has always been open about expressing his support for people and things he cares about, and right now, that includes Wizkid. Itele reassured his loyal fans that his admiration for Wizkid’s music does not mean he has forsaken his usual music tastes.

He encouraged his supporters to focus on spreading love and positivity instead of criticizing his choices.

“I’ve noticed some reactions lately because I’ve been sharing Wizkid’s music. To those who are upset, I want to say this: we shouldn’t attack each other just because I have a favorite artist. If you know me well, you’ll understand that I openly express my love for things and people. That’s how I believe love should be shown.

“For my true supporters, you know I often share various music on my page, and it’s always about what inspires me. So please, don’t dislike me for loving Wizkid! And don’t stop loving me for being true to myself.”

“At the end of the day, it’s all about love and positivity. Let’s share more of that. Family, the next slide contains the message behind this caption,” he wrote on Instagram.
