ADVAN Launches Online Store

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria, a group that represents advertisers in the country, has introduced a new online platform called ADVAN-X. This platform serves as a marketplace designed to connect various players in the advertising and marketing industry, making it easier for them to work together and come up with new ideas.

During an online press conference, the president of ADVAN, Osamede Uwabanwem, explained what ADVAN-X is all about. He described it as a “hybrid platform,” meaning it offers both online and in-person opportunities for individuals and companies in the marketing world to meet and connect. He emphasized that ADVAN-X is a lively place where brands and service providers can make valuable connections, find the latest marketing solutions, and spark innovation.

The platform includes several useful tools, such as profiles that allow partners to showcase their offerings, forms for generating leads (which are potential clients), and dashboards that provide insights and analytics. The goal of ADVAN-X is to encourage teamwork among its users and tackle common problems in the industry, like the challenges of having fragmented connections and limited access to key decision-makers.

Uwabanwem referred to this initiative as a “transformative space,” as it aims to eliminate barriers between different parts of the marketing industry and promote long-term success for everyone involved.

To celebrate the launch of ADVAN-X, the association plans to hold an event called the ADVAN Partners Innovation Day on November 27, 2024, in Lagos. This event, under the theme “Connect, Innovate, Elevate,” will showcase new ideas in marketing and encourage collaboration among industry members.

The event will kick off at noon with an exhibition, and a discussion panel will start at 2:00 pm. Attendees will have the chance to learn from experts, discover new marketing strategies, and see a special presentation about Kantar’s Blueprint for Brand Growth, which is a well-respected framework used worldwide to help brands grow. The best part is, entry to the event is free.

Uwabanwem also took the opportunity to talk about ongoing issues with the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, or ARCON, which he claims has been making things difficult for advertisers. He mentioned that advertisers often face unfair challenges from ARCON, which he believes harms the entire marketing industry. He called for changes to improve the regulatory system, encouraging ARCON to set up a council as their own rules suggest. He concluded by expressing ADVAN’s commitment to advocating for a fair and flourishing marketing industry that benefits everyone involved.
