Agusto Confirms Baobab Nigeria’s ‘BBB+’ Rating

Agusto & Co., a well-known credit rating agency in Africa, has given Baobab Nigeria a rating of ‘Bbb+.’ This rating is a positive sign, indicating that Baobab Nigeria is in a strong financial position and is managed wisely, especially in Nigeria’s microfinance sector, which is the part of banking that focuses on lending to people and small businesses who might not have access to traditional banking services.

Recently, Baobab Nigeria made an announcement about receiving this rating. The company has shown that it can adapt and remain strong even during tough times in the economy, which are marked by high inflation (when prices go up) and strong competition from other financial institutions.

Eric Ntumba, the Acting CEO of Baobab Nigeria, expressed his satisfaction with the ‘Bbb+’ rating from Agusto & Co. He mentioned that this recognition highlights Baobab’s commitment to maintaining its financial stability and delivering excellent service. He also stated that the company plans to focus on strengthening its capital (the money that helps the business operate), improving how it funds itself, and making its operations more efficient. These improvements are aimed at enhancing how they serve their customers.
