Apple Intelligence To Add More Languages In April

Apple is making its artificial intelligence program, known as Apple Intelligence, available in several new languages. Soon, people in countries that speak French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese will be able to use this AI toolkit. Additionally, there will also be English versions specifically tailored for users in India and Singapore.

This announcement was made by Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, during a call with investors discussing the company’s financial performance for the last quarter of 2024. He revealed that the new language support for Apple Intelligence would be launched in April.

Previously, Apple Intelligence was only available in American English when it first came out last year. However, Apple expanded its language options in December with the iOS 18.2 update, which allowed users to access it in different varieties of English—specifically those spoken in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

As of now, Apple has not shared any plans to introduce this AI toolkit in the European Union or Mainland China.

In addition to this news, Tim Cook mentioned that a new version of Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, will soon be released. This updated Siri will have the ability to understand what’s happening on the screen, making it much more helpful and intuitive to use. This should be available to users in the coming months.
