Apple is planning to grow its range of smart home products, as reported by a well-known analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo. On Tuesday, he shared that the company is currently developing an Internet Protocol (or IP) camera, which is a type of camera that connects to the internet to help users monitor their homes. This new camera is expected to be released in 2026.
According to Kuo, a Chinese company called Goertek will be responsible for putting this camera together. Apple hopes that, once it is available, they will sell millions of these cameras each year. However, it’s important to note that Apple is entering a market that is already quite competitive, with established products from other big tech companies like Google and Amazon.

In addition to the camera, there are rumors that Goertek will also help produce future versions of Apple’s AirPods, which are their wireless earbuds. These upcoming AirPods are expected to have an even greater focus on health features. This follows Apple’s recent efforts to enhance the health-related functions of its AirPods Pro 2, which have started to resemble some hearing aid capabilities.
