Nigerian Hip Hop Star Asake Reconciles with Father and Commits to Support His 11-Year-Old Daughter
Nigerian hip-hop sensation Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has made headlines by reconciling with his father, Fatai Odunsi. This reconciliation comes after a period of tension, during which Mr. Odunsi accused Asake of neglecting him amid his declining health since 2022.
In a recent video shared on social media, Mr. Odunsi confirmed that Asake has reached out to him, marking a significant turning point in their relationship. Speaking in Yoruba, he expressed his feelings about the situation, stating, “His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.”
Mr. Odunsi elaborated on the reconciliation, saying, “Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled; there are no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.” This commitment includes not just emotional support but also tangible assistance, as Asake has promised to purchase a house for his father and cover his medical expenses.
In addition to mending his relationship with his father, Asake has also taken a significant step towards family responsibility by agreeing to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. Mr. Odunsi emphasized that Asake has never denied his child but has now made a firm promise to be fully involved in her upbringing.
This reconciliation highlights a renewed commitment to family values and responsibilities, showcasing Asake’s willingness to support both his father and daughter during challenging times. The hip hop star’s actions reflect a desire to mend familial bonds and provide for those he cares about, signaling a new chapter in his personal life.
