The mother of renowned Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has called on Nigerians to motivate their middle-aged mothers to join the social media platform TikTok.
Mrs. Aderibigbe, who has gained popularity for her engaging and trendy content on TikTok, emphasized the platform’s mental health benefits to women aged 40 to 60. In a heartfelt video message shared on her TikTok page, she expressed her gratitude for the supportive community she has found there.
“I’m so grateful to be on TikTok. I’m so privileged to have you all in my life as part of me. Thank you for your support,” she stated in the video.
She went on to encourage viewers to persuade their mothers to embrace TikTok, saying, “If your mum is between 40-60 years old, encourage them to be on TikTok because it helps them mentally.”
Mrs. Aderibigbe shared her personal experience, asserting that her time on the platform has transformed her perspective. “I’m on TikTok now and I can testify to it. My thinking now is different from before. Now, I’m creative in my thoughts,” she explained.
She also highlighted the positive changes in her appearance and mindset since joining TikTok, urging others to help their mothers join the platform. “You guys can see the way I’m looking. So please, encourage your mums; let them come and teach us their experiences in life,” she added.
