Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, has asserted that he is “50 times bigger” than Grammy-nominated singer Asake. He made this statement in response to a resurfaced tweet from 2019, in which Asake, who was still an emerging artist at the time, humorously asked him to follow him back. A user on X, identified by the handle @thejacobsss, remarked that it’s amusing to rank Asake above Blaqbonez, to which the rapper agreed, emphasizing that he considers himself a significantly larger artist than Asake.
“A fan commented, ‘Asake is big, but claiming he’s bigger than Blaqbonez is just pure comedy, I swear.’ Blaqbonez agreed, stating, ‘People are hilarious. I’m 50 times bigger. I sold out the O2 Arena in one minute; it took him longer.’ However, contrary to Blaqbonez’s assertion, he has not sold out the O2 Arena, while Asake has successfully sold out the venue twice.
