CBN To Launch New Website Today

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced that it is launching a brand new website today, Monday. This update was shared in a statement by Sidi Ali, who is the acting Director of Corporate Communications at the bank.

The new website is designed to be more user-friendly, making it easier and faster for visitors to find the information they need. To achieve this, the bank has used advanced technology called Microsoft .NET Core 8, which is the latest version available. The design and technology behind the website were developed by the bank’s own team, rather than being outsourced to outside companies.

One of the key features of the redesigned website is that it will include a lot of new content. This means there will be more information available about what the Central Bank does and its responsibilities. Additionally, the new site will work well on mobile devices, so people can easily access it on their phones and tablets, as well as on computers.

In related news, during a dinner event at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit in October, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso mentioned that the bank is focused on improving transparency and accountability. He explained that the revamped website is part of this effort to make information more accessible to the public and to strengthen trust with the bank’s stakeholders.

Governor Cardoso emphasized the importance of sharing information with the public, stating that the bank wants to ensure that people understand its activities and how they can stay informed about its progress. He highlighted that the upcoming changes to the website are aimed at making it easier for everyone to find the information they need, ultimately promoting a culture of openness and transparency at the Central Bank.
