Charly Boy Responds to US Election After Promising to Leave His Wife Following Kamala Harris’ Win

The well-known Nigerian singer Charly Boy expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the US presidential election, according to the Daily Post. Before the election, he made headlines with his bold statement that he would divorce his 47-year-old wife if the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, did not emerge victorious.

He wrote in Pidgin: “If my crush, Kamala Harris, no win the USA presidential election, I swear, I go divorce my wife of 47 years.”However, he was disappointed when Republican Donald Trump defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Following this setback, Charly Boy left his previous statement about the divorce somewhat ambiguous. He shared his sympathies for Kamala Harris’s supporters on his social media platform, X, stating, “On behalf of all the lovers and fans of Kamala Harris, sorry we lost.“Our alpha woman ran the most intelligent campaign in less than 100 days.“We win some, we lose some, and that’s life. It’s unfortunate, but leadership globally has gone south as the worst of us rule the best of us. It shall be well.”
