Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, Nigeria’s representative, has been crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania at Miss Universe 2024. She finished in second place behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, at the 73rd Miss Universe Competition held in Mexico. She earned the Miss Universe Africa and Oceania title as the first runner-up. Adetshina is now recognized as Miss Universe Nigeria, Africa, and Oceania, making her the first Miss Universe Nigeria to reach the top two on the global stage. She won the Miss Nigeria title after withdrawing from the Miss South Africa contest due to scrutiny regarding her nationality.
