Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has attributed his conflict with Damini Ogwulu, better known as Burna Boy, to jealousy. The two have been engaged in a series of heated exchanges on social media in recent weeks.
The feud escalated after Burna Boy’s arrest of fellow artist Speed Darlington. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Rubbin Minds on Sunday, Chief Priest stated that Burna Boy’s actions stemmed from jealousy regarding his relationship with singer David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido.
“My entire issue with Burna Boy began because he was envious of my relationship with Davido,” he explained. “He wanted me by his side, but I chose to collaborate with Davido. Me and Davido have never discussed anything about Burna Boy,” he added during the interview.
Chief Priest emphasized that Davido is not the type to waste his time talking about his colleagues, suggesting that it’s often others who create drama and attempt to drag them into conflicts.
Speed Darlington was arrested after he implied that Burna Boy had a questionable relationship with the troubled American music executive Diddy in an effort to win a Grammy.
