Renowned Nigerian artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, has shared that his father’s wealth made him feel financially inadequate. He made this revelation during a recent interview in Paris.
DANDALI notes that Davido attended Amiri’s Fall/Winter show at Paris Fashion Week 2025, held at Palais de Tokyo, alongside fellow artist Omah Lay.
In a viral clip from the interview shared on social media, Davido was asked if anyone has ever made him feel broke despite his own wealth. The interviewer inquired, “In your life, have you ever met someone who made you feel broke?” To which Davido responded, “Yeah, my dad.”
This statement comes months after he mentioned in another interview that it took him years to fully grasp the extent of his father’s wealth. Davido is recognized as one of Nigeria’s richest musicians.
