Additionally, he requested 20 beef tacos, 20 beef enchiladas, 2 double cheeseburgers, 1 jalapeño pizza, 20 fried chicken nuggets, and another 20 beef enchiladas.

Ricky Ray Rector’s final meal seemed fairly typical, consisting of a steak, fried chicken, cherry Kool-Aid, and a slice of pecan pie. However, after finishing his meal, he left the pecan pie untouched, telling the guard he was “saving it for later,” which marked the beginning of the unusual aspects of his request.

Ronnie Lee Gardner’s last meal had an interesting twist. He ordered a steak, a lobster tail, an apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and a 7-Up—seemingly typical choices. However, he also requested to watch “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy before his execution, which he enjoyed while reading “Divine Justice.”
