The police consider the actions of the protesters to be a treasonable felony, as they were waving the flag of a foreign country within Nigeria.
Adejobi emphasized that carrying a foreign country’s flag in Nigeria is a criminal offense and that the police have arrested several individuals in connection with this act.
The police are working to identify other sponsors and individuals involved in the protests, which have spread across multiple states, and are investigating the underlying motives behind the protests.
