Police Arrest Russian Flag Supplier, 30 Protesters

The Nigerian Police Force has arrested at least 30 individuals in connection with the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests, where participants were seen carrying Russian flags in Kano and other states.

One of the flag producers, Ahmed Bello, was also arrested in Kano with a large quantity of Russian flags.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, the arrests were made during a joint press briefing of the Strategic Communications Interagency Policy Committee in Abuja.

Adejobi stated that the police are currently investigating the matter and are on the lookout for other suspects, particularly those who sponsored the protests.

The police consider the actions of the protesters to be a treasonable felony, as they were waving the flag of a foreign country within Nigeria.

Adejobi emphasized that carrying a foreign country’s flag in Nigeria is a criminal offense and that the police have arrested several individuals in connection with this act.

The police are working to identify other sponsors and individuals involved in the protests, which have spread across multiple states, and are investigating the underlying motives behind the protests.
