Fintiri Urges Parents to Enroll Kids in Public Schools for Free Education

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has reiterated his dedication to delivering free and quality education. He has called on parents and guardians to ensure their children enroll in public schools.

During the launch of a scholarship program for 40 students accepted into federal government colleges, as well as an empowerment initiative for 360 elderly individuals, youths, and women sponsored by the Song local government area, Fintiri highlighted the significance of education.

The state government has made notable progress in enhancing public schools. This includes improvements in equipment, the construction of classrooms, the establishment of laboratories, and the provision of books. Additionally, free transportation and feeding programs have been introduced to support teaching and learning.

Fintiri’s administration is committed to ensuring that no child in Adamawa State is denied education at any level. This commitment reflects a broader vision for the future of the state’s youth.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Governor, who represented Fintiri, emphasized the importance of education for children, particularly girls. She urged that they should complete their schooling before considering marriage.

She also pointed out that obtaining a Western education is vital for those aspiring to hold elective positions. The state’s advancements in education are evident in the growing number of female leaders, including the Deputy Governor and vice chairpersons across the 21 local government areas.

Idris Yahaya, the chairman of the council, encouraged parents to enroll their children in nearby public schools. He stressed the importance of monitoring both their academic performance and moral development.

Yahaya pledged to continue supporting educational initiatives through expanded programs aimed at improving access and quality.

Among the beneficiaries, students Mudaksir Ibrahim and Shuaibu Yahaya Gudu expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the government for its support in their educational journeys.

Ardo Sani Mohammadu, the Fulani leader of Dauchi village, also voiced his appreciation for the government’s efforts in establishing a modern school for their children.

The emphasis on education aligns with the broader goals of community development and empowerment, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Overall, the commitment to free, quality education is a cornerstone of Fintiri’s administration, reflecting a desire to uplift the entire state through knowledge and learning.

As the state continues to invest in education, the hope is that future generations will benefit from these initiatives, leading to a more educated and prosperous society.
