Renowned music producer and guitarist Ifiok Effanga, known as Fiokee, is mourning the loss of his sister, Emma Effanga, who recently passed away.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Fiokee alleged that his sister’s death was a result of domestic violence, expressing his shock at being unaware of her suffering in silence. He emphasized that while justice will be pursued, no punishment can bring his sister back.
Fiokee urged individuals in abusive relationships to speak out, warning that silence can be fatal. He wrote, “My heart is shattered. I can’t believe I’m writing this, but my sister is gone. She was taken from us by someone who claimed to love her. I had no idea she was suffering in silence. She never mentioned the abuse, and now it’s too late.
“If you are in an abusive relationship, please, I beg you—speak up. I know it’s not easy, and fear can keep you silent, but silence can be deadly. Some people care and who will help you. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
“Justice will take its course, but no amount of punishment will bring my sister back. If this message can save even one life, then her death will not be in vain.”
