The marriage between popular Nigerian gospel singer Paul Nwokocha and his second wife, Mrs. Goodness Nwokocha, has reportedly come to an end.
DANDALI recalls that Nwokocha married Goodness in September 2023. The singer had previously accused his first wife, Alice Nwokocha, of mistreatment, which led to their separation and his subsequent marriage to Goodness, who is from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
A family source informed journalist Promise Uzoma Okoro that issues began in May of last year when Goodness allegedly faced mistreatment from the gospel singer. “Goodness reportedly had no prior relationship with Paul before their marriage. She moved from Lagos to marry him at the insistence of his uncles, without conducting any background checks.
“As of now, the bride price has been returned to Paul Nwokocha’s family, marking the formal end of the union,” the source stated.
Paul Nwokocha’s Response:
In response to the situation, Paul accused his new wife of sending nude photos and videos to other men. DANDALI has seen a video where the gospel singer made these allegations.
He claimed that his wife was taking nude images and videos and sending them to men. “Greetings to all my friends and well-wishers. Thank you so much. My name remains Paul Nwokocha, a minister of the gospel.
“I have heard many people discussing my marital issues on social media, and I want to clarify something. If I marry today and discover that my wife is engaging in abominable acts before God and man, I will send her out of my house.
“Let me repeat: If I marry today and find that my wife is doing something abominable, I will not hesitate to remove her from my home without apology.
“To those who are sympathizing with her, how would you feel if the woman you call your wife was sending nude photos and videos to other men? How would you react if you found out? I want your thoughts on this.
“I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe no one an apology for this. Stop labeling me. Regardless of how long we’ve been married, if I discover you are committing evil before God, you will leave my house,” he stated.
