Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa has officially approved the payment of the new National Minimum Wage, set at N70,000, for workers in the state. This significant decision marks a commitment to improving the welfare of employees in the region.
Sagir Musa, who serves as the commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports, and Culture, shared this news with reporters in Dutse on Saturday. His announcement highlighted the government’s proactive approach to addressing workers’ compensation.
The governor’s announcement came after he received a report from the state’s Minimum Wage Committee. This committee was led by Muhammad Dagacire, the Head of Service, and played a crucial role in evaluating the situation before making recommendations.
