The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appointed a new management team for Kano Pillars Football Club.This decision follows the recent expiration and dissolution of the previous management board.
The new board members were selected based on their competence and experience.They will serve for an interim period of one year, with the potential for renewal based on the team’s performance.The new board is comprised of 12 members, including a chairman, honorary member, and 10 other members.
Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara Mai Samba) has been appointed as the Chairman of the board.
Salisu Kosawa will serve as the Honorary Member, while Yusuf Danladi (Andy Cole) is a member of the board.Other members include Nasiru Bello, Muhammad Ibrahim (Hassan West), Muhammad Usman, and Muhammad Danjuma Gwarzo.
Mustapha Usman Darma, Umar Dankura, and Ahmad Musbahu have also been appointed as members of the board.Abubakar Isah Dandago Yamalash will serve as the Media Director, with Ismail Abba Tangalash as the Deputy Media Director.Engr. Usman Kofar Naisa has also been appointed as a member of the board.
The governor expressed confidence in the new board, stating that they will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to manage and oversee the affairs of Kano Pillars FC.
The new board is expected to work closely with the state Ministry of Youth and Sport and other relevant stakeholders in the sport industry.
Additionally, the Governor approved the appointment of Nigerian Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa as the Kano State Sports Ambassador to motivate players and elevate the team’s recognition and prestige.
