Gwarzo LGA Boosts Maternal Healthcare With Free Drugs

In a groundbreaking move to enhance healthcare delivery, the Gwarzo Local Government has acquired three cutting-edge ultrasound scanning machines and a comprehensive array of medical consumables. This significant investment aims to revolutionize maternal healthcare in the area, ensuring safer pregnancies and improved outcomes for mothers and their babies.

During the distribution ceremony, Interim Committee Chairman Dr. Mani Tsoho emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “These state-of-the-art ultrasound machines will be strategically deployed to Getso, Lakwaya, and Kutama healthcare centers, empowering healthcare professionals to detect and monitor maternal and fetal health conditions with greater accuracy and speed.

“The chairman highlighted the benefits of this investment, including:-

  • Enhanced ability to provide timely and accurate prenatal care-
  • Early detection and monitoring of maternal and fetal health conditions-
  • Improved outcomes for mothers and their babies-
  • Comprehensive care and meeting the growing needs of the Community

In addition to the ultrasound machines, a variety of essential medical consumables were also distributed, ensuring that healthcare centers are well-equipped to provide quality medical care.Primary Healthcare Coordinator Abdullahi Datti Rogo reaffirmed the council’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services, stating, “This initiative represents a key step in supporting the health and well-being of our residents and ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to all.

“The distributed medical consumables include free drugs essential for treating various ailments, such as typhoid fever, ulcers, and diabetes, among others.The Director of Personal Management, Gwarzo Local Government, Alhaji Ubale Magaji, expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Aminu Abdussalam, for their unwavering support in making this initiative a reality.
