Nigerian music star Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck, has discussed his relationships with fellow artists. He mentioned that Rema is one of his closest friends in the music industry. Odumodublvck also recounted a dream where he ate pounded yam with Burna Boy before meeting him in person.
In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope, he stated, “Rema is my friend. Seyi Tinubu is also my friend. Despite his father being the president and the criticism he faces, he’s still my friend. When he invited me to his home for dinner, it wasn’t for me to support his dad; he did it because he appreciates my music. I come from the streets, and Seyi has nothing to gain from me. He’s genuinely my friend, regardless of what society thinks.
“The same goes for Rema. Why wouldn’t I be friends with Rema? Who else would I want to be friends with, Adele? Speed Darlington? Akpi is not my friend. Burna Boy is like a spirit animal to me—Skepta too. Before I met Burna Boy, I dreamed about him, and we were eating pounded yam together. He told me that the day I met him was the first time he had eaten pounded yam in two years. This isn’t a joke. People think I’m just making things up. They assume I speak about Jesus because I’m a fanatic. I’m a huge fan of Jesus. Whatever I say is bound here on earth and in heaven, as long as it aligns with God’s will.”
