“I prefer not to have a child outside of marriage.” – Rema

Nigerian singer Rema has recently expressed his strong stance against having children outside of marriage. He emphasized that he is not open to the idea and considers himself an intentional individual, firmly against promiscuity. Rema’s commitment to his values is evident in his desire to build a family that resembles an empire rather than rushing into fatherhood without careful consideration. He stated, “I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to get bigger and become a whole empire if we can. And then neither do I want to wait for it to become a mistake before I decide to be a father. I’m very particular and I don’t really be h*eing around.”

In addition to discussing his personal beliefs, Rema shared insights into his relationships with fellow artists Ayra Starr and South African singer Tyla. He highlighted the friendship he shares with both artists, noting, “Ayra’s family, for sure. Tyla’s family. We’re good friends because I’ve been friends with Tyla even before everything.” This camaraderie reflects the supportive environment within the music industry, where artists often collaborate and uplift one another.

Rema has made history as the first Black African artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, marking a significant milestone in his career. His achievements have garnered attention not just locally but on an international scale, further elevating his status in the music world.

In a related note, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has publicly expressed her admiration for Rema. During an interview with Rolling Stone, she shared her impressions of him as an artist, stating, “I am completely impressed with Rema as an artist. I believe the future for him is truly endless of what he can achieve. I was a fan of the song [‘Calm Down’] even before I jumped onto the remix. What really stands out for me is how the song continued to grow even a year after it was first released.” Gomez’s praise highlights Rema’s impact on the global music scene and the potential for further success in his career.

In other news, Adaobi Alagwu’s family has returned the dowry to Tunde, signaling a significant development in their personal lives. This action may indicate changes in their relationship status, but further details about the situation have yet to be disclosed.
