Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has pledged to change his ways. He made this commitment after being granted N2 million bail by an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, on Thursday.
Portable was brought before the court by the Ogun State police for allegedly assaulting three officials from the Ogun Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA). He pleaded not guilty to a five-count charge that included conspiracy, assault, possession of a cutlass and firearms with intent to cause harm, and behaving in an unruly manner, leading to his bail being granted.
In a video message shared on his social media after being released on bail, Portable promised to cease his disruptive behavior and concentrate on earning money. He expressed that he is seeking funds to meet his bail obligations. “My fans, thank God for everything. If you have God, you have everything. I need money. I am not looking for trouble anymore. I’m now focused on making money. I have a N2 million bail debt. I need more money. I am looking for money,” he stated.
