“Israel will not be able to defeat us – Sheikh Naim Qassim”

The deputy secretary-general of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has issued a stark warning to Israel, stating that the sole path to peace is through a cessation of hostilities. He emphasized that stopping the fire is essential for any meaningful resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Sheikh Naim asserted that Hezbollah possesses the capability to defend itself by launching attacks wherever it deems necessary. He pointed out that Israel is the aggressor in its assaults on Lebanon, highlighting the imbalance in the ongoing confrontations.

He further noted that residents of northern Israel will continue to face threats from Hezbollah as long as Israel persists in its military operations against Lebanon and Gaza. This ongoing aggression creates a cycle of retaliation that complicates the situation further.

The Hezbollah leader stressed that the only viable solution to the current crisis is to halt the fighting. He firmly stated that Hezbollah cannot be defeated, as they are defending their own territory against external attacks.

Experts have drawn connections between Sheikh Na’im’s remarks and the apprehensions expressed by some Lebanese citizens regarding the war. They suggest that his statements may have been aimed at instilling a sense of fear and caution among the population.

Additionally, Sheikh Naim warned the people of Lebanon that if Israel were to achieve victory over Hezbollah, it would fundamentally alter Lebanon and potentially destabilize the entire Middle East region. This assertion underscores the broader implications of the conflict.

He emphasized that the situation requires careful consideration, as the consequences of continued hostilities could be dire for Lebanon and its neighbors. The ongoing violence not only affects military dynamics but also has significant social and political ramifications.

In conclusion, Sheikh Naim Qassem’s statements serve as a reminder of the complexities of the conflict and the urgent need for dialogue and de-escalation. The path to peace, he insists, lies in mutual respect and an end to aggression.
