The Kano State House of Assembly (KNHA) recently hosted a two-day workshop for legislative aides in an effort to enhance service delivery. The training, which was attended by over 50 legislative aides, focused on clarifying their roles, responsibilities, and limitations to improve their individual and overall performance within the Kano Assembly.

Dur ing the opening ceremony, Alhaji Jibril Ismail Falgore, the speaker of the Kano house of assembly, emphasized the workshop’s goal of enhancing the capacity of legislative aides to better serve their principals. He also stressed the significance of continuous capacity building for all public servants, aligning with Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf’s blueprint.
The chief consultant and former clerk, Alhaji Lawan Badamasi Gezawa, underscored the workshop’s importance, highlighting its strategic role in shaping the future involvement of legislative aides.

The workshop was attended by various officials including Alhaji Bashir Diso, the Clerk of the Kano house of assembly, Hamisu Satatima, Director of Planning, Research, Statistics, and Library, Garba Kadawa, Director of Information and Publication, Barrister Nasidi Aliyu, and Inuwa Yusuf, Director of Legislative Services.
