Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has praised the peaceful conduct of the recent local government elections held across the state’s 44 local government areas. His remarks came during a briefing with journalists after he cast his vote in the Gwale local government area.
The governor expressed gratitude for the collaboration of electoral commission chairmen from other states who monitored the elections, highlighting their role in ensuring a smooth electoral process. Yusuf noted that the elections, which spanned 484 wards within the 44 local governments, were the most free and fair in the history of Kano.
