Khamenei said that Iran’s attack on Israel was a minor action

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, praised the recent attacks launched by Iran against Israel on Tuesday, referring to them as “small operations” in response to what he termed Israel’s “shocking crimes.”

During his Friday sermon in Tehran, Khamenei characterized Israel as a “bloodthirsty regime” and labeled the United States as a “crazy dog” in the region, emphasizing the perceived threat they pose.

This sermon marked Khamenei’s first in nearly five years, during which he stated that the Islamic Republic would take “appropriate action” against Israel with “full force.”

He made it clear that Iran would not tolerate any form of negotiation or “step back” in its stance against Israel, reinforcing his commitment to a strong response.

In his address, delivered in Persian, Khamenei highlighted the necessity of “unity” among Muslims worldwide, asserting that this unity should be grounded in the teachings of the Quran.

He further stated that Iran’s adversaries are not only its own enemies but also the enemies of Palestinians, Lebanon, and other Muslim nations, indicating a broader struggle.

Iranian state media reported that Khamenei plans to deliver a speech in Arabic aimed at the people of Lebanon and Palestine, signaling solidarity with those communities.

This address comes just three days before the anniversary of Hamas’s attacks on Israel, which occurred on October 7, and follows Iran’s missile strikes against Israel.

Khamenei’s latest sermon is significant, being only his second since the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani in 2020, marking a notable return to public discourse.

Overall, Khamenei’s remarks underscore Iran’s commitment to its regional policies and its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, reflecting the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
