He emphasized the need for the LGAs to increase their annual revenue generation to at least 40-60 percent of their budget, utilizing the available resources effectively. He urged the house to enact robust laws and adopt efficient methods to achieve this. Supporting this, Muhammad Bello Butu Butu, the member representing Rimin Gado, stressed the importance of the budget committee evaluating budget performance before approval, based on the previous year’s revenue generation. He suggested that future budget allocations should be adjusted according to their performance, incentivizing improved performance. Following thorough discussions, the house unanimously approved the report and adjourned the session until Tuesday.
