In her account, Elsie mentions that men frequently inquire her friends about her gender, questioning whether she is transgender or a “real” woman. This misunderstanding often results in a loss of interest from potential partners once they learn about her facial hair.
“I have accepted myself because it’s natural; it’s a gift from God. Yet, I face many challenges. Some people think I am transgender, but I want to clarify that I am a woman. I have been blessed with a daughter, and I am content. Many people are curious when they see me because I look different, but I am just like any other woman. Men fear me, and they often ask my friends if I am a real woman or transgender,” she explains.
