Meta Simplifies Earning for Facebook Creators with New Program.

Facebook Creators

Meta is simplifying its monetization options for Facebook creators by merging its three separate programs—In-Stream Ads, Ads on Reels, and Performance Bonuses—into a single, streamlined program. This new Facebook Content Monetization initiative will make it easier for creators to earn money from their content by allowing them to sign up just once, instead of navigating different eligibility criteria and processes for each program.

In its announcement, Meta shared that it paid creators over $2 billion last year for content like Reels, videos, photos, and text posts. Despite this, many creators aren’t maximizing their earnings potential, as only one-third are participating in more than one monetization program.

The new program retains a performance-based payout system, meaning creators will continue to earn based on the success of their content, with ads across multiple formats. Additionally, a new Insights tab will help creators track their earnings and identify which content performs best.

Currently in beta, the program is set to invite one million existing creators to test it, with more invitations to follow. While creators can opt out of the beta, they won’t be able to access Facebook’s previous monetization options if they do. Creators who aren’t initially invited can show interest through Facebook’s official monetization page.
