Mohbad: Naira Marley reveals private conversations with Iyabo Ojo.

Singer Naira Marley has recently taken to social media to share an old conversation with actress Iyabo Ojo, which occurred before the tragic death of his signee, Mohbad. This revelation comes a few months after Iyabo Ojo publicly criticized Naira Marley, accusing him of contributing to the circumstances that led to Mohbad’s untimely passing.

According to reports from DANDALI, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the following day. His death raised significant concerns, leading to public outcry regarding the circumstances surrounding it. In response to these concerns, the Lagos State Police Command later exhumed Mohbad’s body for an autopsy to investigate the cause of death further.

In a recent development on Monday, Naira Marley posted a series of screenshots on his Instagram story that included chats with Iyabo Ojo, where she sought assistance. The conversations dated back to 2021 and 2022, during which Iyabo Ojo expressed her desire for Naira Marley to attend two significant events: her movie premiere and a remembrance party for her late mother.

In another exchange, the actress requested Naira Marley’s help in promoting her adopted son, who is also pursuing a career in music. This indicates a level of familiarity and a professional relationship between the two, which has now come under scrutiny due to the recent events surrounding Mohbad’s death.

Interestingly, Naira Marley did not provide any captions or comments alongside the shared posts, which has led to a flurry of speculation and diverse reactions on social media. Many users are questioning the relevance of these old conversations, especially in light of the serious allegations made by Iyabo Ojo regarding Mohbad’s death. Some are interpreting the posts as an attempt by Marley to shift the narrative or to highlight a different aspect of his relationship with Iyabo Ojo, while others are calling for more transparency regarding the events leading up to Mohbad’s passing.

The sharing of these old conversations has reignited discussions about the dynamics within the Nigerian music and film industries, particularly concerning mental health and the treatment of artists. As the situation continues to unfold, both Naira Marley and Iyabo Ojo remain at the center of a complex narrative that intertwines personal relationships with broader social issues.
