Naira Marley has responded following the court’s decision to clear him, Sam Larry, and Prime Boy in connection with Mohbad’s death.

Singer Naira Marley has expressed his reaction following a magistrate court’s decision to acquit him, Sam Larry, and Prime Boy of any involvement in the death of the late artist Mohbad. According to reports from DANDALI, the court cleared the trio of complicity on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. This ruling comes 18 months after Mohbad’s mysterious passing, which sparked significant controversy and debate online.

Mohbad’s death became a focal point of public discourse, particularly after videos surfaced showing instances of bullying involving Naira Marley and his associates. These revelations led to widespread calls for justice, prompting law enforcement to arrest Naira Marley and Sam Larry in October 2023 due to their alleged connections to Mohbad’s untimely demise.

On Tuesday, the Magistrate Court located in Yaba, Lagos State, delivered its judgment, exonerating Naira Marley from any wrongdoing related to Mohbad’s death. The court also found Sam Larry and Prime Boy not guilty, marking a significant moment for all three individuals involved.

In response to the court’s ruling, Naira Marley took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his gratitude for the verdict. He expressed appreciation to God for being vindicated and shared a verse from the Holy Quran, stating: “And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, he will be enough for him. (65:3).” This message reflects his faith and relief following the legal proceedings.

The case has highlighted the complexities and emotional turmoil surrounding celebrity culture in Nigeria, particularly in relation to mental health and the pressures faced by artists. The public’s reaction to Mohbad’s death and the subsequent legal battles underscore the ongoing discussions about accountability and the treatment of individuals within the entertainment industry.
