Nigerian travel creator Alma Asinobi aims to set a world record by visiting all continents within 70 hours.

Alma Asinobi, a Nigerian travel creator, has announced her intention to visit all seven continents in a bid to set a world record. The journey is set to begin on March 15, 2025, starting in Australia and ending in Nigeria.

Asinobi explained that she is undertaking this challenge with her Nigerian passport to draw attention to the issues surrounding passport privilege for Africans. In a viral video on her Instagram page, she shared her motivation for this daring endeavor: “I’m doing this with a Nigerian passport to highlight the problem of passport privilege. Once I recover from applying for over 10 visas—being rejected five times for two of them—I will delve deeper into why we cannot remain silent about the second-class treatment faced by those with low-mobility passports regarding travel and visa requirements.

“I’m testing the limits of one of the world’s lowest-ranking passports on this journey to demonstrate what is achievable and to inspire others to explore the world despite these challenges. Additionally, I aim to shine a light on a critical issue that affects more than half of the global population, particularly Africans both at home and in the diaspora.”

According to DANDALI the current Guinness World Record for the fastest time to visit all continents is held by Indian travelers Ali Irani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra, who completed the journey in three days, one hour, five minutes, and four seconds.
