NIQS Teams Up With Julius Berger For Top-Notch Infrastructure

The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors Foundation (NIQS Foundation) has teamed up with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, a well-known company in the construction industry. This partnership came about because the foundation recognized the important role that Julius Berger plays in building and improving infrastructure in Nigeria, which includes roads, bridges, and buildings.

During a recent visit to Julius Berger, Olusegun Ajanlekoko, who is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the NIQS Foundation, spoke about how they want to work with leading companies in the industry. He explained that the foundation is an extension of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS). When NIQS celebrated its 50th anniversary, they wanted to find ways to make a positive impact on society and be more involved in the community. They decided to reach out to organizations that share their values, and Julius Berger was their first choice.

Ajanlekoko praised Julius Berger for being a model of excellence in infrastructure development. He highlighted how the company has completed many projects that have helped Nigeria grow and modernize. He also appreciated Julius Berger’s commitment to sustainability, which means they focus on projects that are environmentally friendly and can last a long time. The goal of the visit was to create a strong partnership that aligns with their common goals of achieving high standards, professionalism, and innovation in the construction industry.

He praised the foundation for its efforts to promote professional growth, encourage new ideas, and maintain high ethical standards. Kaita mentioned that this meeting was a great opportunity to strengthen their relationship and find ways to support young professionals entering the industry. He believes that their discussions will lead to meaningful actions that will highlight the importance of quantity surveying in the development of the country.

Dr. Celestina Eke, the Director-General of the NIQS Foundation, described the visit as an important step towards better collaboration in the industry. She emphasized that the foundation is dedicated to working on initiatives that support professional development and tackle the challenges faced by quantity surveyors. Eke expressed her belief that partnering with Julius Berger will help the construction sector grow and ensure that high-quality, sustainable projects are delivered throughout Nigeria.
