Ogun Instructs Employees on Productivity.

The Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat, has emphasized the importance of investing in strategies that motivate the workforce to perform their duties effectively. He believes that such investments are crucial for enhancing overall productivity and performance.

In a statement made during his keynote address at a two-day strategic retreat in Ijebu-Ode for the Ministry’s staff, Hamzat highlighted the retreat’s theme: “Reinvigorating The Workforce for Increased Productivity.” He underscored the necessity of revitalizing the workforce to achieve sustainable success within the state’s Public Service.

Hamzat stated, “It is essential to reinvigorate the workforce to ensure increased productivity and effective service delivery in the state.” He encouraged participants to leverage the training opportunities to enhance their skills, aligning with the agency’s vision and mission for individual and state development.

Opening the workshop, Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, noted the timeliness of the training, which allows government officers to realign with governmental objectives. He stressed that productivity in the public sector stems not merely from hard work but from a motivated, well-equipped, and purpose-driven workforce.

Onasanya further asserted that the training would significantly enhance productivity across various agencies, leading to more effective service delivery. He advocated for ongoing capacity building to foster a productive workforce.

Additionally, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razak Daddah, contributed to the discussion, emphasizing the importance of continuous development in achieving optimal results.

Overall, the retreat represents a crucial step toward empowering public servants, ensuring they are equipped to meet the challenges of their roles and contribute positively to the state’s growth and development.
