Peter Okoye Refutes Rudeboy’s Ownership Claim on New Song ‘Attention’
Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, has addressed recent allegations by his twin brother Rudeboy concerning his latest song, “Attention.” After the song’s release, Rudeboy asserted that “Attention” had been sampled from one of his tracks, which is set to be released on an upcoming album in June 2025. These claims have sparked renewed tension between the two brothers.
In a comprehensive Instagram post, Peter refuted Rudeboy’s ownership claims, offering insight into the song’s creative process. He explained that he collaborated with producer Vampire, whom he first met in Ghana. Peter revealed that he funded Vampire’s flight to Nigeria, where they worked on new music, including “Attention.” He stressed that the song was written before Vampire arrived in Nigeria, rejecting any suggestion of sampling.
To bolster his position, Peter shared an audio clip of a conversation with Vampire, emphasizing his dedication to originality and proper credit. This action seems intended to dispel any doubts about the authenticity of “Attention” and to differentiate it from Rudeboy’s forthcoming album.
