Famous On-Air Personality Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, known as Do2dtun, bids farewell to radio after two decades.
In a heartfelt announcement on his Instagram page, the beloved radio figure revealed his decision to retire after an impressive 20-year career. His post, which has since gone viral, expressed his emotions as he stated, “20 years on radio, it is time to say goodbye. It is time to leave what I loved and would always love.”
Reflecting on his remarkable journey, Do2dtun recounted the early days of his career in a post shared by Cool FM radio on Friday. He reminisced about starting as an intern, where he learned from renowned radio personalities such as Daddy Freeze, the late Dan Foster, and Olisa Adibua. Through hard work and dedication, he transformed from a novice into a household name in the industry.
“This must be one of the hardest decisions I have made,” he shared, emphasizing his fulfillment in having built a lasting legacy in radio. He fondly recalled his first day at Cool FM, stating, “Oh, my sweet home @coolfmlagos accepted me on Nov 1st, 2004, as an intern—dusty, unprepared, and knowing nothing about radio.”
