Controversial Nigerian musician Portable has confronted popular Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola after a viral video featuring actress Ashabi Simple.
DANDALI recalls that in the video, Portable’s fourth baby mama, Ashabi, was seen hugging Odunlade, who jokingly asked if she had gotten permission from Portable for the embrace. In the trending clip shared by the actor on Instagram, he humorously remarked, “Please, for God’s sake, hope you have taken permission from Portable before hugging me? Please go and inform him, oo.”
Feeling offended by the actor’s comment, Portable responded by reaching out via direct message to question the intent behind the statement. He wrote in Pidgin: “What did you say in that video with Ashabi Simple? I respect my home and don’t use it for entertainment. Why would you say she told me before coming? Are you not collecting money from her?”
He added, “But why is everyone saying I have issues? People should say good things about me. I am loyal, o. Loyalty is stronger than juju.”
