Luxury Detective Accuses AY Makun of Flaunting Fake Hermès Bag
A luxury detective page on Instagram has accused renowned comedian AY Makun of showcasing a counterfeit Hermès bag. Earlier in February, AY posted a photo on his Instagram where he was seen with the designer bag.
In response, T20Luxury, a popular luxury-focused Instagram page that highlights products and prices from various designer brands, called out AY for allegedly flaunting a fake Hermès bag.
T20Luxury advised the comedian to avoid supporting brands that produce counterfeit items. Alongside AY’s photo, they shared an image of the authentic Hermès bag, stating:
“Dear AY, as a key stakeholder in the entertainment industry and a beneficiary of genuine creativity, it’s more honorable to refrain from supporting the counterfeit fashion industry. Upholding authenticity is crucial for preserving our reputation as leaders within the Black community.”
The situation has sparked a variety of reactions online:
