This morning, around 7 a.m. Pacific Time, Reddit, the popular social media platform, faced another outage, meaning that many users had trouble using the site. This issue came just a day after a similar problem occurred in the afternoon.
Reddit has a status page where they keep users updated, and according to that page, the platform is still supposed to be working. However, many users are currently unable to access Reddit’s website or app. At the time of writing this, over 51,000 users reported having issues on a website called Downdetector, which tracks outages. This number has increased from about 47,000 users who reported problems the day before.
The reason for this latest outage seems to be an HTTP Error, which is a technical issue that can prevent a website from loading properly. Yesterday, when the first outage happened, users trying to visit Reddit’s homepage saw a black screen with a confusing error message that said, “Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers.
