‘Refinery too vital to fail’ – Obi wades into Dangote/NNPCL feud

Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has intervened in the dispute between the Dangote Group and federal regulators over the Dangote Refinery. In a series of tweets, Obi urged the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation and other government agencies to handle the dispute with caution due to its potential impact on the Nigerian economy.

He emphasized the need for full support for the Dangote Refinery and its associated enterprises, highlighting its potential to generate significant revenue, create jobs, and positively impact the economy. Obi also stressed the strategic importance of the refinery in addressing Nigeria’s fuel crisis and fostering economic growth.

Furthermore, he called for swift resolution of the disputes and recognition of Alhaji Dangote’s contributions to the nation, emphasizing Dangote’s role as a symbol of patriotism, commitment, and impactful entrepreneurship.

In conclusion, Obi emphasized the vital importance of the Dangote Refinery and urged the government and its agencies to offer necessary support for its seamless launch and operation.
