As the #Endbadgovernance protests continue nationwide, former Senator Ayo Akinyelure from Ondo State has revealed that he, along with 15 other senators, is developing a program aimed at empowering youths across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
Akinyelure, who served the Ondo Central Senatorial District from 2011 to 2015 and again from 2019 to 2023, stated that this initiative seeks to support the Tinubu administration in alleviating the struggles faced by citizens.
In a statement titled ‘Press release to the great youths of Ondo state on the ongoing national protest on hunger and unemployment,’ Akinyelure expressed optimism that the forthcoming programs would significantly reduce youth unemployment in both Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.

He emphasized that they are diligently working on developing youth empowerment initiatives that will soon be announced across all six geopolitical zones, pending approval from the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In addition, Akinyelure commended the peaceful manner in which the youth in Ondo State have conducted the protests, recognizing their ability to express their concerns without violence.
He also praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for collaborating with security agencies to maintain order during the demonstrations, calling for continued unity and support for positive change in the state and the nation.
