The Federal Government Targets 40,000 Jobs From Abuja Industrial Park.

The Federal Government is targeting approximately 40,000 jobs with the anticipated benefits of the Abuja Industrial Park to enhance Nigeria’s economy. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike, announced this on Wednesday, highlighting that the park, developed by Zeberced Group, will significantly contribute to job creation and economic growth once it becomes fully operational.

During his visit to the site at Idu Industrial Zone, Abuja, Wike expressed enthusiasm about the level of progress observed at the park. He pledged to update President Bola Tinubu on his findings from the site visit.

Wike described the project as remarkable and expressed confidence that it would stimulate the nation’s economy while providing ample employment opportunities for the youth in the FCT. He noted, “I’ve never seen anything like this in the entire country. This is the first time I am witnessing such development.”

The minister pointed out that the park has been approved to function as a Free Zone, which is expected to attract numerous businesses due to the promise of a reliable power supply.

He praised the company for its dedication to completing the project and for its initiative to widen the access road to the park. Wike assured that the FCT Administration would continue to support the completion of this road project.

He expressed hope that the finished road would further accelerate the development of the Idu District. According to Mr. Adil Kurt, the Managing Director of the company, the park is projected to generate no less than 40,000 direct jobs, which is a significant achievement.

Wike emphasized that any government would be inclined to support such investment opportunities. He noted, “Having toured the site, we can confirm that this is exactly what we need to advance our economy. The development of Idu will be transformative.”

“This kind of investment is what every government aspires to foster, and we must provide the necessary support,” he concluded, further commending the project’s potential impact.
