President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). This appointment emphasizes the government’s commitment to effective leadership in Hajj management.
A distinguished scholar, Professor Usman holds degrees from the University of Madinah and Peshawar University. His academic background equips him to enhance the Commission’s efforts in facilitating organized pilgrimages for Nigerian Muslims.
With extensive experience in Hajj operations, he previously served as the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, managing the largest quota of state pilgrims in Nigeria. This experience prepares him for the complexities of national Hajj logistics.
