Nigerian media personality Tolu Oniru, known as Toolz, criticized singer 2Face for publicly revealing his separation from his wife, Annie. In a recent episode of her podcast, “Off Air,” Toolz expressed that the couple should have dealt with their divorce privately, especially given that Annie was already facing backlash from her appearance on the reality show “Young, Famous & African.”
She remarked, “There’s a lot that happens in marriages. 2Face and Annie have experienced very public ups and downs, but I believe this is something they could have managed privately, particularly with what Annie was going through at that time. It didn’t need to be made public now. Many people go through divorces discreetly. Everyone knows how much Annie loves 2Face, and it’s quite sad for many because, when reflecting on their love story, people hoped for a happy ending for her, but life took a different turn.
“I think about someone you once loved and married, the mother of your children. When she’s facing public scrutiny and criticism, it’s not considerate to announce your divorce during that same period.”
