USAID And Partners Help 10,000 Businesses Use Digital Tools

Businesses today need certain resources to succeed in our increasingly digital world. One of the main things they need is a variety of payment options that their customers prefer. At the same time, these businesses want to operate more smoothly and efficiently.

To help with this, training sessions focused on digital skills were organized in important cities in South-West Nigeria, such as Ibadan, Sagamu, and Abeokuta. These sessions were designed to give business owners the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital economy.

During these training sessions, participants were introduced to a mobile app called Alerzoshop. This app makes it easier for businesses to connect with suppliers and allows them to make secure and efficient digital payments using Mastercard’s global payment network.

Additionally, the participants learned about another tool called Veedez. This digital payment and business management tool not only helps businesses manage their finances but also offers small loans, known as micro-lending services, which can provide essential financial support to help them grow.

He stated that this partnership shows their commitment to promoting economic growth that includes everyone, especially through digital advancements.

He explained that by combining their knowledge in areas like e-commerce, inclusive trade, and access to financial resources, they aim to help small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria tackle the challenges they face in the digital marketplace.
