Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, recently shared a compelling story that highlights the risks associated with blood covenants.
In his message, he recounted the unfortunate experience of a young woman whose life was profoundly affected by a blood covenant with her boyfriend, who later died. Olukoya used this story as a warning to discourage individuals from entering into such binding agreements.
The woman, deeply in love with her boyfriend, made a blood covenant with him, vowing never to be with anyone else. To symbolize this commitment, they mixed their blood in a cup, added alcohol, and drank it.
Tragically, the young man lost his life in an accident during their final year at university. Since his passing, the woman has found herself inexplicably unable to form romantic relationships.
Dr. Olukoya explained that the covenant she formed with her boyfriend created a spiritual bond that persisted even after his death, making it challenging for her to connect with others. The effects of this bond turned into a spiritual barrier, necessitating significant prayer and spiritual intervention to overcome. He noted that despite the woman’s earnest prayers for deliverance, she continued to be impacted by the covenant, highlighting the difficulties of severing ties with the deceased.
He urged anyone who might be unknowingly ensnared in similar covenants to seek God’s assistance, as these bonds are difficult to break and spiritually binding. Dr. Olukoya’s teachings stress the importance of wisdom and spiritual discernment before making serious commitments.
