A woman has turned to social media to share a troubling conversation with her boyfriend, who criticized her for posting a photo on her WhatsApp status. In the exchange, the boyfriend stated that the picture embarrassed him and that his friends made fun of him because of it.
The woman explained that she was trying to create content and hoped for her boyfriend’s support, but his reaction was anything but encouraging. In their conversation, he harshly criticized her appearance, calling her ‘fat’ and ‘shapeless,’ while blaming her for the ridicule he claimed to experience from his friends.
At one point in the chat, he wrote:
‘Why wouldn’t I call it nonsense? You’re exposing yourself on social media! I don’t even understand what’s going on with you these days. Look at how fat you are. I don’t know what I was thinking when I asked you to be my girlfriend. Look at your stomach. It’s not like you have curves. My friends will just use you to insult me. I don’t deserve that. If you want this relationship to work, you need to do something about your shapeless self.
